At Imperial we provide youngsters with the right mix of activities and an environment to help build empathy – empathy towards their immediate surroundings and social environment and towards the community at large. Our students are expected to participate in a variety of social outreach programs, including spending a day at various orphanages, participating in green drives including tree plantations etc., conducting social awareness camps like Voter Awareness programs, Blood donation camps and participating in keeping their city and its environs clean by volunteering in centrally government run programs such as the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan etc.

The college also has a variety of sports facility like a basketball court, volleyball court, table tennis, badminton. The college also has a dedicated club that organizes and prepares students for all the intra and inter college sports activities under the university.

Transportation Facilities

The college has its own bus which makes commute easy for the students. This also helps students learn punctuality and bonding. The bus also facilitates commute for the various industry visits, tours, events and other academic events for all the students.

Committees and Clubs

Academic Committee

The academic committee ensures the imbibement of the best practices to provide an improved academic system for the present and future students. The committee is also responsible for practices, such as smooth functioning of classes, examinations, conducting academic award functions to honor students for academic excellence. The academic committee also conducts knowledge sharing sessions and other experiential learning activities.

Objectives
  • To keep track of the progress of syllabus and the regularity of classes as well as the adherence of academic calendar.
  • To promote experiential learning in the curriculum.
  • To organize Gurumantra sessions, Learner’s Value propositions, seminars, debates and other academic activities.

Training & Placement Committee

The committee facilitates the collaboration of students with leading organizations and institutes in setting up internships, training programs and placement drives. The committee collates information from alumnus, and industry experts, conducts relevant workshops and practice sessions and provides timely feedback to help students assess themselves and bridge any gap that may exist before the actual placement process begins.

Objectives

Hostel & Mess Committee

This committee ensures the well-ordered functioning of the Hostels and Canteen. It acts as a bridge between the administration, Canteen staff, hostel authorities on one side and the students on the other. It also facilitates the addressing of issues of the residents of the hostels as well as conduct activities for the residents like games or discussion sessions for a more enriching experience

Objectives
  • To plan and monitor the maintenance of all the infrastructure facilities concerned with the Hostel
  • To maintain and control the quality of food supplied in the canteen
  • To set the menu for the mess and arrange sick meals if required
  • To help other clubs in all food related events in the college
  • To monitor, counsel the behaviour of students in the hostel, Monitor study schedules and patterns, etc
  • To provide suitable and comfortable accommodation for residing students
  • To take care of the students to maintain their health and facilitate medical support in any kind of emergency in the hostel
  • To motivate the students in participating in indoor and outdoor games in the hostel

The club was built on one of the core principles of Imperial College of sustainable development and environmental concerns that is committed to raising awareness about environmental issues and to reducing environmental impact as individuals. This club actively takes care of the vegetation in the campus and have help gain the college "Green Champion Award" in the district.
